Become a Champion of the area’s health care

Champions will be invited to attend events, answer surveys, visit existing services and share news of planned changes with their friends, family and colleagues.

The ambition is to create a more ‘joined up’ service in mid-Nottinghamshire which is patient-focused, with services delivered closer to, or at, home and which offers the tax payer value for money.

It is also hoped to tackle the challenge of increasingly stretched health and social care budgets.

“The Champion’s role ensures that the voice of our public and patients continues to play a fundamental role in shaping the development of services,” said chief officer for Mansfield and Ashfield and Newark and Sherwood clinical commissioning groups, Amanda Sullivan.
