The Hucknall Beer Festival returns for its fifth year at the John Godber Centre on Ogle Street.

The three day celebration runs from Friday 13th February with a drinks list organised by Nottingham CAMRA, The Beer Shack Hucknall, Lincoln Green Brewery and Black Iris Brewery.

Real ale drinkers from as far afield as Cornwall are expected at the event which raises funds for the community centre.

Manager Kim Pears said: “This is my fourth year on the beer festival committee and I’m looking forward to seeing both new and regular faces again.

“Nottingham CAMRA do a wonderful job of selecting the beers and ciders for the festival and real ale drinkers are never disappointed with the choice on offer.

“The last three years we’ve closed the festival on the Sunday with beer still available and we’re going to keep that record going, there’s always so much choice.”

The Hucknall Beer Festival is the largest fundraising event hosted by the John Godber Centre to raise funds to further develop the Centres facilities’ for the benefit of the town.

As a registered charity the centre generates income from room hire, bar takings and fundraising events with all proceeds going back into the Centre for the redevelopment of the facilities. The annual Food Market and Craft Fair will open the event on the Friday from 11am – 3pm.

Opening times are: Friday 13th 11am – 11pm; Saturday 14th: 12pm – 11pm; Sunday 15th 12pm – 3pm. Free entry to the event until 5pm, £2 after 6pm.
