BRIDES-to-be will be spoilt for choice when it comes to help in planning their big day.

For there are TWO wedding fairs being held in the Dispatch district over the coming fortnight.

The first is at Newstead Abbey, the ancestral home of romantic poet Lord Byron, on Sunday (October 2).

Then, attentions switch to the John Godber Centre on Ogle Street, Hucknall, for a wedding fair on Sunday October 9.

The abbey event will be held in the orangery, great hall, cloisters, Beckett room and garden room, all of which can be booked for weddings. It is being run by owner Nottingham City Council.

The John Godber attraction is being staged by Jessica Wall, owner of the Fancy Pants party and fancy-dress store on Annesley Road, Hucknall.

The events, which are free to attend, will showcase subjects such as photographers, dresses, wedding cars, hats, balloon decor and entertainment.
