Bestwood Park man assaulted woman

A Bestwood Park man faces a steep court bill after he was found guilty of assaulting a woman in Nottingham, a court has ruled.

David John Cutts, 50, of Rose Ash Lane, initially denied assault by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Nottingham on October 25.

The court heard the assault on the woman took place at an address on Woodborough Road, Mapperley, in Nottingham, on April 19.

Cutts was found guilty after a trial.

Magistrates ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £400.

The total bill will be deducted from his benefits, magistrates ordered.
