Bid for donations to Pam’s memorial fund

Organisers are appealing to the public to give generously and boost the memorial fund of Pamela Cook.

In memory of the late Cantamus Choir founder, organisers set up a fund which hopes to raise enough money for a bust and set up a bursary fund for rising stars of the musical world.

After Pamela died in July from a stroke, supporters and followers have already given generously.

But in the lead up to a memorial concert for Pamela in February, Stewart Rickersey, Mansfield Rotary Club secretary, has asked for another big push to raise funds.

He said: “Mansfield Rotary Club hope that the public of Mansfield & Ashfield will get behind the Appeal by using the Just Giving website to make donations and to create a Bursary fund that will be a lasting legacy to a truly wonderful lady.

“She did so much over the years to promote choral excellence and demonstrate the remarkable musical talent that exists in this area.”

The concert, to be held on February 1st at the Queen Elizabeth Academy, will see Blidworth songstress and Amore singer, Victoria Gray, perform alongside the all girl choir.

Anyone who would like to donate to the fund can do so by visiting the Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/mansfieldrotaryclub.

Payments can also be made at Mansfield Building Society using the following details: account number 10613185, sort code 205562 and reference number 13053027.
