THE POPULAR Byron bingo hall in Hucknall is hoping for a full house when it opens its doors for a big birthday bash.
The historic venue at the corner of High Street and Duke Street is ready to celebrate its 44th anniversary.
A party will take place on Friday March 11 from 4.30 pm.
On offer will be free games, free nibbles, hotdogs and a glass of bubbly.
Live entertainment will come from singer Ruth Stanford, who will perform four sets throughout the night. There will also be prize bingo and draws.
The bingo hall, which opened in 1967 as an offshoot of the Byron Cinema, has been an integral part of Hucknall’s social scene ever since.
Two years ago, it underwent an upgrade with new televisions, a paint job and improved carpets and seating.
