HUCKNALL’S Peacocks store is set to be rescued from closure after a buyer was found for the chain.
The company went into administration under a mountain of debt last month.
But now a deal has been struck with Edinburgh Woollen Mill that will save up to 388 stores nationwide and thousands of jobs.
A list of 244 outlets facing the axe has been released but the Dispatch understands the one on Hucknall High Street is not included. It would mean ten jobs being saved.
