Breaking news: Restaurant boss praises staff response after woman suffered serious injuries

A restaurant owner has paid tribute to his staff for responding to an incident which left a woman in hospital with serious injuries.

It understood the woman had tried to harm herself in the toilets of the ll Rosso restaurant on Nottingham Road on Tuesday night.

Lee Everett of ll Rosso Ltd siaid: “As many of you are aware on Tuesday evening 22nd November, an incident occurred at Il Rosso.

“We are so proud of our staff who were extremely responsive in their actions in dealing with the situation; we are sincerely grateful.

“Obviously, we are unable to comment further due to the sensitive nature of what happened, but our thoughts and prayers go out to all concerned.

“We would like to assure all our customers that we are open for business as usual and look forward to seeing you at Il Rosso.”

A Nottinghamshire police spokesman said; “Officers were called at around 7pm in regards to the concern for the safety of a woman.

“A woman, 28, was found at the scene in Mansfield and was taken to hospital.

“Her injuries are not being treated as suspicious at this time and she remains in a serious condition.”
