Brian and Michael’s epic hike

An Edwinstowe man’s commitment to raising cash for the John Eastwood Hospice is unending.

Brian Hawkins has already walked 5,000 miles collecting an amazing £160,000 for the Mansfield and Ashfield hospice but his dedication continues as he prepares for the Isle of Man 90 mile Coast to Coast in May.

Brian’s wife Glenys was looked after so wonderfully in 2004 at the hospice that he decided to set up an appeal to raise £500,000 in her memory.

Mr Hawkins (70) and Michael Dickinson (67), his friend for more than 40 years plan to complete the 90 miles from 11th -17th May.
