Bulwell school has a non-uniform way of raising funds for Philippines

Caring pupils and staff at Bulwell’s Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Academy have reached out across the world to the people of the Philipines by holding a special fundraising non-uniform day in support of the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

More than 260 pupils and teachers paid for the privilege of dressing down instead of wearing traditional uniforms in the hope of raising in excess of £300 for the cause.

More than 10,000 people were killed in the wake of the super storm and pupils at the Bulwell school pledged to raise more money for the cause in the New Year.
