Bulwell's tiny dancers raise cash for cancer charity

The 87th Brownies, from Bulwell, fundraised for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in ‘Dress up and Dance’ incentive, as well as walking a mile for the charity.

The girls, aged between seven and ten years old, raised £232 and were supported by family and friends as they completed the Mile for Macmillan challenge.

The group is one of more than 4,000 Girlguiding Midlands units to join forces with Macmillan as part of a new charity partnership to raise £72,000 for people affected by cancer this year.

Nine-year-old Holly Keen, a member of the 87th Brownies, said: “I really enjoyed dressing up as a super hero and dancing Zumba to songs with lots of drum beats in them. It made me happy helping people by raising money for charity.
