Ashfield Apprentices’ House of Lords awards

Twelve top-performing apprentices from Mansfield and Ashfield have been praised at a prestigious House of Lords reception.

They were amongst 27 commended at a ‘Celebration of Apprenticeships’ staged by West Nottinghamshire College Group on Wednesday 16th July, to pay tribute to their hard work and achievements.

The award-winners were selected from the college group’s crop of more than 10,400 apprentices across the country in recognition of their talent, dedication and contribution to their workplace.

The winners were: Zoe Jones, 18, of Kirkby (Roundwood Surgery, Mansfield), Sheralyn Jarvis, 20, of Sutton, (Brierley Park Medial Centre, Huthwaite), Shannan Fell, 16, of Selston, (Barbara’s Hairdressing Ltd, South Normanton), Sam Riddin, 26, of Kirkby, (Consort Ltd, Huthwaite), Ryan Oscroft, 19, of Rainworth, (Haynes Electrical, Mansfield Woodhouse), Polly Walton, 19, of Selston, (Revive hair and beauty, West Nottinghamshire College, Mansfield), Nicholas Malbon, 20, of Mansfield Woodhouse, (Central Nottinghamshire Clinical Services, Mansfield), Lisa Boyce, 24, of Huthwaite, Sutton (West Nottinghamshire College), Leanne Evangelou, 29, of Warsop, (Nottinghamshire Probation Trust), Jessica Johnson, 20, of Mansfield, (Rippon Homes, Mansfield Woodhouse), George Denton, 20, of Sutton (Browne Jacobson LLP solicitors, Nottingham), Daniel Bacon, 17, of Selston, (West Notts College).
