The shopping centre on High Street, Hucknall has received a boost, thanks to a facelift for the popular Greggs bakery shop.
The store has been re-designed to meet the demands of busy ‘food-on-the-go’ shoppers, who typically buy snacks and sandwiches to be eaten at their convenience, rather than to be taken home.
And the refurbishment means it now resembles a smart and welcoming cafe with seats and tables available for customers who want to relax during their lunch-break from work or while carrying out their shopping.
The store also features extra space for browsing the range of products Greggs has to offer.
Shop manager Tracey Smith said: “I am very proud to be managing this new-look shop, and the team are looking forward to hearing what the local community think of it.”
Raymond Reynolds, retail director for Greggs, added: “We are delighted to be able to invest in our Hucknall branch and provide our valued customers with a modern and comfortable upgrade to the shop.
“This underlines our long-term commitment to the Hucknall area, and I’m sure it will be enjoyed by existing and new customers alike.”
As well as picking up coffee, tea and other drinks, customers at the newly re-opened High Street shop can enjoy Greggs favourites such as the iconic Greggs sausage roll, jam doughnut, Greggs Yum Yum, plus other savouries and sandwiches that will be freshly prepared throughout the day. Seasonal ranges will also be available during the year.
Greggs is the UK’s leading bakery food-on-the-go retailer with nearly 1,700 shops nationwide that serve more than six million customers a week in Britain.
The company also boasts ten regional bakeries around the UK, supplying freshly baked bread and food to its shops. Its loyalty scheme, Greggs Rewards, is a mobile payment app that has won many awards.
