THE CELEBRATED Ashfield Show, which marks its 33rd anniversary this summer, is on the hunt for sponsors in a bid to make it the best yet.
The action-packed attraction, which is one of the biggest and best free shows in the East Midlands, takes place on Saturday August 13 at Sutton Lawn, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Now organiser Ashfield District Council is offering a variety of sponsorship packages that could give businesses access to up to 15,000 potential customers on the day.
The show will again feature a wide variety of entertainment — from a main arena packed with family acts to a big-top circus, games, funfair, food and various trade stalls.
The horticultural tent is sure to prove popular again with gardeners invited to show off their flowers and vegetables in a series of competitions, entry to which is free. There will also be a section for young gardeners.
Full schedules are available in Hucknall Library on Market Place. But the jewel in the crown of the show will be a music stage with a full programme of performances from professional and amateur acts.
The day will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display.
