SIX cars were broken into in a mini-crimewave in Hucknall, the police have disclosed.

Four vehicles were targeted in the car park of the Premier Inn on Nottingham Road and two were attacked at the nearby Sandicliffe car dealership on Portland Road in the early hours of Wednesday June 15.

Among the items taken were power tools and a laptop computer. A specialist team is now investigating the break-ins.

Hucknall’s police chief, Insp Nick Butler, said: “We should be able to leave car-doors unlocked, items on display and vehicles where we want. But sadly, we can’t.

“I would urge everyone to make sure their property is safely locked away.”
