Cash collected from market stalls help Nottingham’s Hayward House

FRIENDS stepped in to offer their support when Geoff Stanfield fell ill and went the extra mile to raise money for Hayward House.

Hayward House is a specialist palliative care cancer unit in the grounds of Nottingham City Hospital.It provides high quality care centred on the needs of patients and their families.

The team raised £881 for the unit by holding a stall at a series of bargain markets in Hucknall and the surrounding area as well as a Christmas Bazaar at Hazelgrove community centre.

“We stood in all weathers from blazing sun to freezing cold selling bric-a-brac and second-hand goods,” explained Mary Butler. “We also held raffles and tombolas with prizes very generously donated from countless local businesses which we are very grateful to for their support.”
