WITH summer just round the corner, Bulwell residents are being urged to take the plunge and learn to swim with Nottingham Swim School.

New ten-week courses have started which provide swimming lessons for anyone fron the age of three upwards and cover all abilities.

The classes are running at Ken Martin Leisure Centre in Bulwell and at Southglade Leisure Centre, Bestwood Estate.

There are lessons to suits everyone’s needs, including adult and child, pre-school (three-to-five-year-olds), beginner, advanced (five-year-olds and upwards), rookie lifeguard, and adults only. There are also one-to-one lessons available.

Swimming instructor Eleanor Lang said: “I have been teaching at Ken Martin for the last ten years. I really enjoy teaching and find it very rewarding, seeing the children in the swimming lessons progress from pre-school classes to being able to swim competently over long distances and then going on to join swimming clubs.”

The cost of a full course of lessons is £44.
