Charity in need of old furniture

Volunteers running a furniture project for the homeless are appealing for donations to keep them going.

The JFA Lee and Ashley Memorial Furniture Project helps provide ex-servicemen and others in need with the essentials for setting up a new home.

Volunteers especially are in need of beds, but white goods and kitchen appliances such as a microwaves and toasters would also be gladly received.

Project manager, Jason Rathbone said: “We are in the business of giving people a home and a chance and there is an absolute necessity in keeping this going.

“The only way is through the generosity of the people of Mansfield.”

A nominal fee is charged for set-up packages which helps fund the JFA’s foodbank, which runs from the same premises.

Volunteers can collect from your home Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm or if you are able to deliver in your own vehicle the warehouse can be found at Units 37-38, Old Mill Lane Industrial Estate, Mansfield Woodhouse.

To arrange a collection please phone 01623 622274 or email jason@jointforces alliance.org.uk.
