REINDEER dust was handed out to children by a charity shop to enhance the magic of Hucknall Christmas Carnival.

The SENSE base on High Street stayed open late on Carnival night to get involved with the traditional curtainraiser to the festive season in the town earlier this month.

It also raised an outstanding total of £303.25 to boost its work to support deafblind children and adults.

Volunteers turned out in force and ran attractions including a tombola and hook-a-duck and hook-a-bag games.

Some of those connected with the shop even took part in a sponsored slim in advance of the event.

Manager Sofia Del Gaudio said: “We would like to thank all our valued customers for their support of Sense and its charity shop in Hucknall.”
