The weather is turning cooler this Christmas Eve, but there’s no snow in sight in our neck of the woods.

Today will be much brighter than recent days with sunny spells but breezy and feeling colder. A dry day for most although the odd shower is likely through the afternoon, turning wintry over the Peak District. Maximum Temperature 7C.

Tonight it is staying fine and mainly with prolonged clear skies before cloud amounts increase across northern parts later in the night. Quite cold with a slight frost forming overnight. Minimum Temperature 1C.

Christmas Day will have a bright start with sunshine for many but cloud amounts increasing from the north with scattered showers developing through the day, some wintry over the Peak District. Feeling cold. Maximum Temperature 6C.
