Church help for cancer sufferers

CARING fundraisers at Hucknall’s SEYMOUR ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH have played their parts in helping stricken cancer sufferers by taking part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Church deacon Sylvia Peel and another stalwart in Glenis Scott, were the driving forces behind the meaningful event which again owed much to wonderful teamwork, which is one of the church’s strengths.

Well supported by members of the community, the coffee morning — which, like thousands of others across the country, offers invaluable support to cancer sufferers, their carers and those who provide medical care — raised the rewarding sum of £200.
