Lee, contracts manager at NMC Nomenca, said: “Simon’s attitude and commitment are second to none and he has really grasped his apprenticeship with both hands.

“Simon has already made his mark at NMC, developing solid and effective relationships with clients. He has a very bright future ahead of him and we all wish him the best of luck with the next stage of the awards process.”

For the next stage of the process Simon will face a panel of judges in London where he will make a presentation and answer questions.

He said: “It’s very rewarding to know the work I’m doing has been recognised. NMC has given me a fantastic start to my career with close mentoring and training to develop my skills, which I’m always keen to make the most of.
