Council's plan to meet Hucknall's growing healthcare demands
The Council has been working with Nottingham North East Clinical Commissioning Group on a bid to secure funding for additional health facilities for the town.
With job and housing growth on the cards, the needs of a growing population will bring new demand for health facilities in the district.

Hide AdCouncillor Jim Aspinall, Portfolio holder for Health and Wellbeing at Ashfield District Council, said: “New homes and new jobs are good news for the district and we recognise that these bring about new requirements for health facilities.
“We’re committed to working really closely with the CCG throughout this process to make sure any plans are thought through and sustainable, and will continue to do so.”
Sharon Pickett, deputy chief officer, Nottingham North and East CCG, said“We will be submitting a bid to NHS England to secure funding for additional health services in the town. If the bid is successful, we look forward to progressing our plans to ensure high quality healthcare continues to be available to every Hucknall resident.”
