Course for the blind to be launched at King’s Mill Hospital

A new course designed to help people living with sight loss will be launched at King’s Mill Hospital on 15th August.

The course will be held every Friday between 10.30am–3.30pm until 19th September. Places are free, but must be reserved in advance.

It will provide information, advice, guidance and practical skills for people diagnosed as losing their sight.

Modules will address emotional well-being, how to make independent travel journeys, and making the most of leisure time.

Participants are encouraged to support one another and share their experiences.
