Crime hits record low in Hucknall

The number of crimes being reported is at a record low for Hucknall and the Ashfield South policing zone.

In the seven days leading to Wednesday 25th March there were three break-ins, but items were only stolen in one case and no cars were stolen.

A wallet, bank cards and cash were stolen from a home on Knightsbridge Gardens, after thieves entered via an unlocked conservatory. The incident happened on Saturday 21st March between 12 noon and 4.50pm.

Thieves broke into the Yew Tree public house in Nottingham Road, via an upstairs window but nothing was taken. This happened overnight between Friday 20th March and Saturday 21st March.

A rear door was forced open but nothing was taken from The Strands, on Broomhill Road, overnight on Monday 23rd March.

Overnight on Saturday 21st March in Papplewick Lane, two sat navs were stolen from an unlocked Volvo V50 parked on a driveway. On Thursday 19th March at around 10.00pm in Abbots Walk, a fence panel was damaged and a heavy garden ornament was smashed.
