Body found near Dispatch district park

Police say the death of a man whose body was found near a Bulwell park is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers were called to the area of Sellars Wood Drive near Hempshill Lane Recreation Ground on the morning of New Year’s Day after receiving reports that a body had been found.

However, investigators are not treating the death as suspicious at this time.

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Sellers Wood Drive in Bulwell at around 8am on New Year’s Day after a report of a sudden death.

“A man’s body was found.

"His death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.

“Our deepest condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
