It is thought that a black Audi A8 was driven in the Hucknall Road and Moor Bridge area at around midnight on the evening on Tuesday, June 16.

Police are exploring the idea that the incident, which resulted in two men being hospitalised with single gunshot wounds to their legs, may have happened within the car.

One of the men has since been discharged from hospital. The other is still receiving treatment for injuries that are neither life-threatening or life-altering.

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, who is leading the investigation, said: “This incident was an isolated, targeted attack and we believe that the victims and suspects were known to one another.

“While we are exploring a number of lines of enquiry, including looking at CCTV in the area, we are in a position where we believe a black Audi A8 was used in the incident.

“We are not looking to locate the car as it has been recovered as part of our investigation, we are looking for the public’s help in coming forward with any information that they have that could aid our investigation into the attack.

“If you saw or heard something, no matter how trivial you think it may be, you could hold vital information that could help us find who did this.”

If you have any information or spotted the car in the area at around midnight on Tuesday, June 16, contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 912.
