Four men arrested in connection with Hucknall stabbing

Nottinghamshire Police officers have arrested four more men in connection with the stabbing of a 20-year-old man in Hucknall.

Police have made further arrests after a 20-year-old man was stabbed when he was confronted by three men as he was riding his bicycle near Farleys Lane at around 1.45pm on Friday July 24.

The victim was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering, according to Nottinghamshire Police.

Firearms officers arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after abandoning a moped close by, when they arrived at the scene on Friday, July 24.

The 26-year-old has now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Officers have now arrested four more men, aged 52, 23, 22 and 19, in connection with the investigation into the stabbing last week. .

Detective Sergeant Luke Todd, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: "The investigation is moving at pace and we have now made five arrests.

"Violence, particularly involving weapons, will not be tolerated in Nottinghamshire and the swift and robust response to this incident shows just how seriously we treat this type of offence."
