Hucknall man threatened with knife and robbed of his wallet in his own home

A 62-year-old Hucknall man was threatened with a knife by a man who barged his way into his home.

The victim was punched in the face and had his wallet taken from his trouser pocket in the incident in Central Avenue, Hucknall, at about 5.45pm yesterday. He did not need hospital treatment.

The man, who ran from the scene, was described as white, in his late 20s, around 5ft 6ins tall, stocky and had a local accent.

Detective Sergeant David Prest, who is leading the investigation, said: “Enquiries are in their early stages but we believe this to be an isolated incident. However, there will be high visibility patrols in the area and we would urge anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible.”
