Man arrested after Hucknall stabbing

A 60-year-old man has been arrested after a 37-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the stomach in Hucknall.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called to Plumb Road at around 10.15am on Thursday, July 16.

A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and another man was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening or altering.

Detective Inspector Kim Binns said: "This was an isolated incident where the people involved are known to each other and there is no threat to the wider public.

"Officers arrived at the scene within minutes of it being reported to us which resulted in a quick arrest.

"My team is now gathering evidence and will work to establish what happened."
