Officers were called to a property in Gilead Street at around 2.25pm on Sunday, August 2.

A man was arrested on suspicion of affray. While officers were trying to restrain the suspect it's alleged that the suspect assaulted one of them, causing marking to his cheek and neck area. As the officers took him downstairs it's also alleged that the suspect headbutted another officer. Both officers suffered minor injuries.

Shane Kirwan, 26, of London, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Monday, August 3, charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
