A serving Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) has been charged with misconduct in a public office and sexual offences.

Daniel Childs, 28, who was previously based at Ollerton police station, is set to face three counts of misconduct in a public office, and four counts of sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.

The charges relate to offences that are alleged to have happened both on and off duty, between 2006 and 2013, against four different victims.

He has been bailed to appear before Leicester magistrates on 1st May.

Childs has been suspended from duty since his arrest in February 2013.

No further action is set to be taken against a second PCSO, who was arrested in connection with the same investigation.
