Teenager arrested after stabbing in Bulwell

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a teenager was stabbed in Bulwell.

Police were called Charlock Close at around 5.35pm on Saturday, February 20, when a boy was reported to have been assaulted.

The boy’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, but he remains in hospital for treatment.

Detectives launched an investigation into the incident and following excellent police work they tracked down and arrested the boy.

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and he remains in custody at Bridewell Custody Suite.

"Officers from the City North Op Reacher team carried out arrest attempts this morning and he was found in the Bestwood area.

"Officers have worked around the clock since the incident to establish the circumstances in order to make the arrest this morning.

“Nottinghamshire Police takes knife crime very seriously and will always thoroughly investigate reports with a view to taking appropriate action against those found to have committed such offences.

“There will be increased patrols in the area today for reassurance and I’d ask anyone who has any concerns to report them to police officers or via 101."
