Officers from the Ashfield Neighbourhood Policing Team forced entry into properties in Laughton Crescent and Beauvale Crescent at around 10am on Wednesday.

Cannabis plants and associated drug paraphernalia were recovered from both properties.

Police carried out the drugs raids at two properties in Hucknall.

Two men, aged 22 and 24, were arrested and bailed on suspicion of possessing class B drugs with intent to supply.

A 40-year-old woman was also arrested and released on bail.

Inspector Mark Dickson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The raids were the result of local intelligence work and I hope they send out a clear message to people involved in the cultivation or supply of illegal drugs: we take what you are doing very seriously indeed and may come for you at any time.

“We are listening to the concerns of our residents and remain as committed as ever to taking illegal drugs off our streets.

“If any members of the public have any concerns or suspicions about drugs in their neighbourhoods I would urge them to report them by calling 101 or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

Councillor Dave Shaw, who represents Hucknall North on Ashfield District Council, added “We know drugs are a big concern for residents across the area and we are working closely with the police to tackle drug issues.”
