The public gallery of a court room in Mansfield was cleared this week - after someone broke wind.
Around 10 people had been listening to a case at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday afternoon in which a man was being sentenced to prison for assault.
And just as the magistrates told the defendant he would spend the next few months behind bars, the embarrassing slip could be heard from behind the glass partition separating the public from the court.
It led to laughs and disruption in the gallery, and as a result they were all ordered to leave the courtroom by a court usher.
The sentencing then continued.
