Families flocked to enjoy a free fun day at Newstead village’s recreation ground.
Visitors packed the recreation ground to enjoy live music, food, ales, craft activities and charity stalls, as well as an appearance bys a UK strong man.
There were also 40 classic, modern and vintage vehicles on display.
There was plenty of fun for youngsters too, with hula hooping workshops, face painting, a magician and fun fair.
Lorraine Horrocks, who runs the village’s Pit Micropub, said: “We had about 800 people in on the day, It was a really good day and there was a great atmosphere.”
