A CAST of almost 200 from a dance school in Hucknall dazzled on stage for two charity shows.
Members of the Let’s Dance Studio, currently based at National Comprehensive School, performed at the Palace Theatre in Mansfield on Saturday June 25 and Sunday June 26
Entitled ‘Legends’, the event’s theme was be a tribute to stars of music, past and present. But the real tribute will be to those who have suffered from cancer.
For the annual shows raises money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The school was inspired to choose the cause because a parent of one of their dancers recently died from the illness.
Taking part in the extravaganza were performers ranging in age from three to 60.
The show was in two halves, featuring routines in jazz, ballet, tap, modern and street, with background music from the likes of Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
The finale was a Michael Jackson tribute, finishing with his 1992 hit, ‘Heal The World’. In the background was a slideshow presentation of patients who have survived and died from cancer.
