Did you witness a collision in Wincobank yesterday?

A 24-year-old man is currently in hospital with life threatening injuries following a collision in Sheffield yesterday (Sunday, 1 March).

At around 4.35pm, a silver Peugeot 306 was travelling along Holywell Road in the general direction of Jenkin Road, away from Upwell Street.

There was a collision between the vehicle and the 24-year-old male pedestrian just before the Railway public house. The vehicle also collided with a wall.

The 24-year-old man was taken to hospital where his condition is currently described as critical.

The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man, and the passenger, a 30-year-old man, both sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 741 of 1 March 2015.
