Dog rescued from quarry by firefighters
Firefighters rescued a pet dog at the weekend that had become stuck on a ledge in a quarry.
The intrepid pooch had managed to get itself stuck at Bestwood Quarry, near Ravenshead yesterday, Sunday 19th April.
Crews from Mansfield, and specialist rescue units from Tuxford and Highfields, were called to the scene at around 2.45pm.
They were able to get the dog down by 4.20pm and return it to its owner.
