A DOG show was one of the star attractions at a well-attended summer fair that captured the imagination of Annesley residents.
The event at the Acacia Centre attracted locals of all ages.
“It was a big success that brought in many visitors to the community centre,” said training and development officer, Michael Jarunek. “It was a great chance for community groups to show and share what they can offer.”
The annual attraction included a variety of stalls from bric-a-brac, and cakes to arts and crafts, together with the chance for children to have a play on a bouncy castle and other games.
There were plenty of refreshments on offer too.
“It also gave local businesses and charitable organisations the chance to sell their goods and raise some funds,” added Michael. “It was very well attended and from the verbal feedback we have received, everyone enjoyed the day.”
The centre is currently putting plans together for a Christmas carol concert, which it is hoped will include a local band and singers.
