Domestic row leads to damaged door

A judge has been told how a Mansfield man damaged a door at the house he shares with his partner after a domestic row.

Sarah Neale, defending, told Judge Diane Baker at Mansfied Magistrates’ Court how Michael Moriarty (24), was arrested after admitting the damage on the night of 15th June.

An argument had erupted between himself and his partner after too many drinks that afternoon.

The pair separated while walking home then the row escalated back at their house when Moriarty was accused of cheating on his partner.

Judge baker bailed Moriarty until 23rd July pending a probation report.

She said: “This was domestic-related while in drink and a child was in the house.”
