Domestic Supplies wins national customer service award

Family owned Domestic Supplies, which is based on Old Mill Lane Industrial Estate, received a highly commended certificate from the Independent Business Awards.

“The award came completely out-of-the-blue as we didn’t even realise we had been nominated,” said Neal Wardman, one of the directors at the Hallamway unit. “But we are delighted to be recognised and rewarded for our 30 plus years serving the Mansfield community.”

The company came out tops in the Best Independant Retailer-Domestic Appliances (small) category, achieving the greatest recognition amongst electrical manufacturers and fellow retailers for its services to both the general public and the electrical retail sector as a whole, in the area of domestic appliances.

These awards are the ‘highest acclaimed in the electrial industry’ and are decided through businesses demonstrating product knowledge, customer service,staff training, product displays (windows and/or instore), local promotions/publicity, business management.

“This award is about recognition for our efforts and we are proud of our customer service which sets us apart from the rest,” added Neal. “We are also proud of our staff’s product knowledge as well as being competitively priced.
