Driver fails to stop after hitting and injuring cyclist

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was struck by a car which failed to stop.

The 54-year-old man suffered minor injuries when his bike, which was travelling toward Ravenshead, was hit from behind by a silver Volkwagen Golf estate, with a ‘15’ registration plate. The vehicle lost its left wing mirror in the collision and this was left at the scene.

The incident happened in Longdale Lane, Calverton, at 11.46am on Sunday, September 18.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or is aware of a vehicle matching the description is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 351 of 18 September 2016.
