A 24-year-old mum of two has been made to pay compensation after a drunken assault on another woman.

Christina June Louise Murray, of Kirkby, appeared at court charged with common assault on Demi Sparvold after a brawl on a night out in Mansfield.

Prosecuting David Miles said Murray and her partner had been drinking in the town centre and started arguing shortly before 1am on the 8tth March.

Another couple got involved after they believed they saw her partner push her.

But the two woman came face to face and Murray pushed the woman in the chest which caused her to fall to the floor and suffered a bloody nose.

She was wearing stilettos and fell into a wall and then ended up on the floor.

Murray pleaded guilty to the assault. Michael Little, mitigating, said: “She accepts it was unacceptable.

“During the incident she came face to face with the woman and lost her temper.

“She used two hands to push her in the chest area.”

Magistrates fined her £110. Murray was also ordered to pay court costs of £85, and victim surcharge of £20.

She was also ordered to pay £50 compensation.
