This year’s school leavers from across the Mansfield and Ashfield are being invited to attend a career open day on Thursday 19th June between 2pm and 7pm.
Those aged 16-plus not currently in full-time education, work or training are also welcome to attend the event at Rainworth Youth Centre on Kirklington Road.
The open day is being organised by Third Star, who specialise in developing third sector learning and skills through the workplace.
Among the topics that will be covered are job search and applications, apprenticeships, volunteering and work placements.
Free places are available for City and Guilds qualifications in maths, English, ICT, youth work, community development and advice and guidance.
“If you are leaving school this summer and are unsure what to do next, then please come along and see what’s on offer,” said Helen Graham, Third Star’s centre co-ordinator.
“We currently help people from across the area - Pleasley, Blidworth, Rainworth and Hucknall to name just a few - and we will be very happy to discuss all of our current opportunities.”
