Enterprise money available for projects to stimulate jobs

CASH-starved organisations in Hucknall are being invited to apply for a slice of £3.14 million to help drag the town out of the economic doldrums.

The money, which is ring-fenced for Ashfield, has come from the European Regional Development Fund. It is aimed at helping to stimulate new enterprise, create jobs and support the local economy.

Cash is primarily for projects promoted by local councils, colleges, government departments and organisations in the voluntary sector.

Those looking to benefit must be able to provide some funding of their own.

Any expressions of interest should be sent by e-mail to erdfbids@nottscc.gov.uk, along with a signed paper copy to Nick Hibberd, regeneration team leader, Mansfield District Council Civic Centre, Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield NG19 7BH by 4 pm next Friday (March 2).
