The gigs, which will include a mixture of acts performing in a range of woodland locations around the country, will see the duo play material from their new album and songs from the Beautiful South and the Housemartins.

Their latest top-ten album ‘Wisdom, Laughter and Lines’ includes the singles ‘I Don’t See Them’ and ‘The Austerity of Love’ - following on from their critically acclaimed 2014 album ‘What Have We Become’.

These albums were their first recordings since the days of The Beautiful South classic albums ‘Miaow’, ‘Blue Is The Colour’ and ‘Quench’, including hits such as ‘Rotterdam’, ‘Don’t Marry Her’ and ‘Perfect 10’.

Forest Live is an independent programme, which has been running for 15 years, organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences.

Money made from the tickets goes towards protecting, improving and expending England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife.

The Sherwood Pines Forest gig will take place on Friday, June 24.

The tour will also visit Delamere Forest, Cheshire, Thetford Forest, Suffolk, and Cannock Chase Forest, Staffordshire throughout July.

Tickets go on sale on at 9am on Friday, December 11.
