Family award nomination for Mansfield firm Hall-Fast

Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies are finalists in the National Red Ribbon Awards, which are held at the Goldsmiths’ Hall in London.

The Anglia Way firm has been nominated for the Corporate Social Responsibility award by an anonymous person.

Said Hall-Fast director, Rachel Hall: “We were very surprised when we received the letter to notify us that we were national finalists as we didn’t put ourselves forward for the award, the kind words within the nomination are very humbling.”

Hall-Fast has raised thousands of pounds for charity in recent years, particularly for the Fountaindale SEN School - which has involved managing director Malk Hall taking part in a number of fundraising challenges.

The person who nominated the firm wrote how ‘Malcolm and Rachel are brilliant contributors to the local community and are always up for getting involved. Whether it’s through sponsorship, charity events or fundraising, they are a great example of how family businesses can give back to the community where they started. They are great role models for young entrepreneurs who should realise that business isn’t all about money – it’s about being part of something’.
