Fancy dress dash for the homeless
Students and staff at West Notts College donned their fancy dress for a sponsored 5km fun run to raise cash for the Mansfield Cold Weather Shelter.
Over £1,300 was raised for the winter night shelter charity which is hosted at the Mansfield Baptist Church Centre, on Rosemary Street, which provides refuge for people sleeping rough.
Programme area leader for the school of learning, Trudi Dean, said: “Our students really care about their community and understand that there are many people less fortunate than themselves.
“I am very proud of everyone’s efforts.”
