Farnsfield community news

Methodist Church - On Sunday morning the service was led by Barrie Richmond from Blidworth. There were readings from Margaret Allwood, John Foster and Enid Marsh. Later the church hosted a section service in the evening with other local Methodist churches attending. The Rev’d David Greenwood led an Iona Service. Enid Marsh played the music during both of the days’ services.

Tuesday Fellowship - The meeting on Tuesday at Farnsfield St Michael’s church was led by Margaret Tait who also talked about ‘endings’.

Friendship Club - 32 club members and friends were welcomed to Fridays ‘Bring and Buy’ sale by Diane Demers. They also enjoyed refreshments, a game of bingo and a raffle. The clubs next meeting is on February 28th at 2pm at the Village Centre and will include a talk on ‘Personal Safety’ by PC Jayne Walters.

Farnsfield Flower Club - The next Meeting will be our Annual General Meeting at 2.0 pm on Monday, 17th February, 2014 in the Lower Hall, Farnsfield Village Centre and new Members are most welcome.

Farnsfield & District Horticultural Society - The Society are preparing for their spring show which this year will be on Saturday 12th April at the Village Centre. The schedules will be available from local shops. Open to the public after 12.30pm.
